The short version
Your memories never leave your machine. OneMemory is a local-first application. The memory database, your AI session content, and everything the observer reads stay on your computer. We cannot see them, and we built the product so we never have to.
What the app touches on your computer
- AI session files. If you enable the observer (off by default, asked plainly during setup), OneMemory reads local session files of the AI tools you selected to detect facts worth remembering. This happens entirely on your machine.
- Secret redaction. API keys, tokens, and passwords are stripped before anything is stored.
- Your memory database. Stored at
%LOCALAPPDATA%\OneMemory. You can export or delete it at any time; uninstalling asks whether to keep it.
What we receive
- Waitlist and support email. If you join the waitlist or email us, we get your email address and what you wrote. Waitlist submissions are processed by formsubmit.co.
- Purchases. Payments are handled by our merchant of record; they process your payment details and share with us your email, license status, and country. We never see card numbers.
- License checks. The app periodically validates your license key with the license server. That request contains the key and a machine name, never memory content.
- Update checks. The app fetches a version manifest from this website. Standard web logs (IP, user agent) apply.
- Nothing else. There is no telemetry or analytics in the app. Crash reporting, if we ever add it, will be opt-in and stripped of content.
Website analytics
This site uses privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics limited to aggregate page counts. No advertising trackers.
Your rights
Because your data lives on your device, export and deletion are features, not requests: use the dashboard's export, or delete the data folder. For anything we hold (waitlist email, purchase records), email hello@onememoryai.com and we will correct or delete it. EU/UK users: our lawful basis for processing purchase data is contract performance; for the waitlist, consent, withdrawable anytime.
Changes
We will note material changes here and in the changelog with the date above.
